On Tuesday, Sky Italia explained that Fulham have already made an offer worth €20m to sign Atlético Madrid’s Çağlar Söyüncü and are ready to provide firm competition to AS Roma.

This has been dismissed by Wednesday’s edition of AS, who state neither the La Liga side nor the 27-year-old have received any offers so far.

However, the newspaper states the centre-back has received interest from Fulham, the Serie A side and Porto.

The Turkey international joined Atlético as a free agent last summer, after spending five years at Leicester City. This decision hasn’t paid off as he’s been a bit part player under Diego Simeone.

Söyüncü has clocked in 213 minutes from nine games this season and that includes only one league start. The report states he isn’t happy with the limited role and is open to changing clubs in the winter market.

This will come as encouragement for Marco Silva’s side and other interested parties.

Later today, Atlético will face Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia. AS state the defender will hold talks with Diego Simeone and the Atlético board after the tie.

They further add the Fulham target will wait for ‘at least one more week’ before he makes a final decision on his future.
