On Thursday, we covered a claim from Italy that Emerson Royal has not convinced Antonio Conte and this has seen Tottenham Hotspur identify Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries as a target.
A latest report from Rudy Galetti provides information on the Serie A side’s plans for their right wing-back.
The 26-year-old is ‘very popular with Tottenham’ and two other clubs. With Spurs among the teams in the mix, Simone Inzaghi’s side are thinking about the offers they will receive for him.
It’s said the Nerazzurri ‘will listen to offers’ starting from €30m for Dumfries, while they look for a low-cost alternative to the Netherlands international.
The options handled by Inter are Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari, Torino’s Wilfried Singo and Spurs’ Emerson. Juventus are said to also be interested in Tottenham’s Brazilian and Inter will have to beat competition from the Old Lady.
Earlier this month, Calciomercato.it reported that Tottenham are eyeing a surprise swap deal involving Emerson and Dumfries. It was also stated Spurs could use the South American as a bargaining chip to get the Dutchman’s price down.
Rudy Galetti’s report indicates the exchange operation is possible.
