Wesley Fofana is already a Chelsea player following his move from Leicester City, according to the latest reports from France.

RMC Sport now brings the exclusive information that after having the medical visits in New York, it all went well and the player already signed a six-year contract with the Blues.

It’s said Chelsea are paying Leicester City €82m, with bonuses included, and the deal ‘will quickly be formalised’ by the Blues and Foxes.

According to reports from the English media today, Fofana had to fly to New York for his medical so club owner Todd Boehly could be free of concerns regarding his physical situation.

Chelsea’s pursuit for the defender was dragged out for the past couple of months, as despite reports of an agreement with the Frenchman, the Blues struggled to find a deal with Leicester City, who were not keen on seeing the player leave them this summer.

A verbal deal between the clubs started being reported last week, and things finally had a good development in the past few days, with the medical in the United States being apparently the final obstacle to it.
