Despite words coming out from Tottenham insisting Tanguy Ndombele has a future at the club beyond this season, there’s still reports about him potentially leaving.

At least part of that is down to the player himself, after the French media made it clear he didn’t want to stay at Spurs if it meant another frustrating season.

The midfielder has faced various problems since arriving from Lyon. He wasn’t shining under Mauricio Pochettino, and Jose Mourinho has suggested on repeat occasions that he’s not entirely satisfied with what he’s getting from Ndombele.

Reports from France and Spain have even suggested there’s interest at Barcelona, although he’s not a priority for the club. They don’t have a huge budget this summer, so to sign him they’d have used a player exchange, with perhaps some money on top.

AS suggest the player could be Nelson Semedo, whose future at the Camp Nou is far from from certain. If he agrees, then the Portugal international could be edged towards signing for Tottenham as bait for Ndombele.

The same is said of a move to PSG, as part payment for Neymar, and Inter Milan, to help Barca get Lautaro Martinez.

Mourinho’s opinion would of course be key.
