Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham United is at the private jet stage, reports Gianluca Di Marzio on Monday evening.

Sassuolo announced at the weekend that they’d agreed a deal for the forward to join the Hammers, and it’s thought the transfer will be worth a maximum of €42m, with a chunk of that depending on bonuses.

We covered a report from Corriere dello Sport earlier today which said Scamacca would travel on Monday or Tuesday, and that West Ham were a little nervous about the situation. There was an outline agreement on personal terms, but they wanted to make sure everything was finalised quickly so there was less chance of the deal collapsing.

David Moyes’ side appear to have achieved that, and it’s stated Scamacca has now arrived at Ciampino airport, on the outskirts of Rome, from where he’ll take a private jet to London to finalise his move to the Premier League.

Gianluca Di Marzio believes medical tests will be held on Tuesday.
