On June 13th, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Richarlison would rather sign for Tottenham or Chelsea over Arsenal.

Then on June 23rd, there were further Brazilian claims which stated Spurs were set to place an offer for the Everton player, and speak to his staff about personal terms.

June 28th saw a fresh report from Brazil which explained Tottenham were rushing to get the signing completed this week, with the club and Richarlison’s entourage close to agreeing a five year contract.

UOL and Bruno Andrade, who brought most of the fresh reports, now state the attacker has ‘already undergone medical examinations’ at the request of Spurs. The Brazil international is ‘very close’ to being confirmed as a Tottenham player, and an announcement is expected in the next few hours.

Andrade says Tottenham beat Chelsea and Arsenal to the signing.

Richarlison had been keen on a move this summer having helped Everton avoid the drop during the last campaign. A move to Tottenham will allow him to feature in the Champions League and he’ll hope it will improve his status with the national team.
