On Wednesday, Sport Witness shared the overdue news from Portugal that Andre Carrillo to Watford was actually moving forward.

After what had felt like weeks of problems, everything was said to be sorted out for the loan. After it had been repeatedly claimed in Portugal that Watford were experiencing real difficulties getting a work permit for Carrillo, it was all suddenly solved.

There’s more good news for the Watford transfer on Thursday morning. O Jogo report Carrillo is in London already, ahead of his move to the Premier League.

O Jogo say ‘now there is no doubt’, Carrillo is set to become a Watford player on loan for the rest of the season.

That loan will cost Watford €1m plus the total of Carrillo’s not insignificant wages. At the end of the loan period, Watford will have a buying option with Benfica for €20m, which could potentially turn out to be a bargain.

Time will tell, and Carrillo is being given every motivation needed.
