Earlier today we covered claims from Italy of Juventus needing to sell players before they can even bring in big free-agents in the summer market.

The wage bill at the Turin club is high, and they have commitments for outgoing fees, so they’re looking to push some players out before they can bring others in.

It is no surprise to see Newcastle United dragged into the picture, and Fichajes report Juventus midfielder Arthur is a player they’re keen on. Indeed, it’s stated the Brazilian is ‘one of Newcastle’s main targets’ and someone Juve are looking to make money from.

Whilst the former Barcelona player truly being one of the players Eddie Howe wants most could be questionable, him being an option isn’t something to be dismissed.

Juventus are also looking to offload players such as Moise Kean, who they have on loan from Everton with a purchase obligation, Adrien Rabiot and even Matthijs de Ligt.

With Newcastle having money to spend in the next market, and the Serie A side needing funds and having players to sell, the links will likely grow in the coming weeks.
