Manchester United are an option for Erling Haaland next summer, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being manager presents an issue for his agent Mino Raiola.

That’s according to AS‘, who cover the situation around the striker today and Real Madrid’s chances of getting him.

They explain that Haaland will be the ‘big name’ of the upcoming summer transfer window, and Raiola is receiving ‘constant’ calls about him from all over Europe.

Haaland and his advisors are keeping their options open, though, preferring to assess any moves on their sporting aspects and not the economic side of things.

That gives Real Madrid a chance to get him, as they could not compete with the likes of PSG or Manchester City if it came to a straight shoot out financially.

Haaland wants a club that can get him trophies, and the chance at the Ballon D’Or, so will focus on that rather than the exorbitant amounts that will likely be put on the table in front of him.

Talk of a deal with an English club is wide of the mark, and Haaland will leave things open until May or June, but there are clubs pushing for him and ‘one of them is Manchester United’.

They’re considered one of the ‘major rivals’ for Real Madrid to beat to his signature, although they are ‘falling off the bill’ at the moment.

That’s because Solskjaer remains as manager. Raiola does not have a good relationship with him as there have been ‘so many problems’ between the United boss and one of his favourite clients, Paul Pogba.

That’s an issue that would have to be resolved if Manchester United were to stand a chance, while they’d also have to find the money for a deal that would end up costing around €250m in fees and wages.

They’re in the picture, though, according to AS, who believe they are one of the rivals to Real Madrid for the Norwegian’s signature next summer.
