The ‘curse’ which affected Jurgen Klopp at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund has now followed him to Liverpool.

That’s according to Ajax journalist Johan Inan, who has discussed the situation ahead of the Reds’ clash with the Dutch side this evening.

They host Ajax in match-day two of Group A seeking to turn a poor start to the season around with a much needed win.

Things have not gone well for Liverpool so far this season, with them having picked up just two wins from their first six games in the Premier League and starting their Champions League campaign with a 4-1 defeat away to Napoli.

That loss in Naples was their worst performance to date, the Italian side having dominated from start to finish in a comprehensive display.

Questions are now being asked about Klopp, who has endured similar spells at both of his former clubs when hitting his seventh year in charge.

Some put it down to a curse and Inan is one of them, although he also feels there is another issue for the Reds.

“Liverpool are in their worst period under Jürgen Klopp’s management. Do you believe in his curse of seven years?” PZC report him saying.

“At Mainz it was there. At Dortmund and now at Liverpool. Others again say that Liverpool have not yet become a team because of injuries.

“Fact is that the team is not rotating. I mainly think it is down to mutual alignment. They have not been at war strength yet.
