For a while now, Chelsea have been shipping an increasing number of youngsters out on loan around the world, with some enjoying the experience more than others.

Few of those temporarily sent away from Stamford Bridge ever make it into the Blues’ first-team, and a select few are getting fed up, wanting some sort of stability in their career.

While Bertrand Traoré seems likely to leave Chelsea permanently this year, another of the club’s promising youngsters, Kenneth Omeruo, could follow suit.

Already voicing his displeasure to the BBC, the Nigerian defender still doesn’t know what next season holds for him, as he explained to the Nigerian press, relayed by OwnGoalNigeria, on Monday.

He said: “For now I’m a Chelsea player. I’ve only been out on loan. Now that my loan period at Alanyaspor is over, I will be returning to Chelsea for pre-season. No decision has been made if I’m still going out on loan or staying at Chelsea.

“The important thing for me is that I play regularly. If I have to stay at Chelsea and not be playing games, then I won’t stay. That’s it for now.”

The 23-year-old still has two years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, meaning that a decision regarding his long-term future at the club isn’t a priority for those in charge, even if that doesn’t suit the player’s wishes.

Despite jumping from club to club over the years, Omeruo has still managed to pick up 33 caps for his country during that time.

He made 26 appearances in the Super Lig last season with Alanyaspor, scoring one goal.
