Turkish TV Channel A Spor report Nottingham Forest will make a move for Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne if they gain promotion to the Premier League.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side were sitting in 5th place with 60 points before the Championship stopped due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and they currently have a good chance of qualifying for the playoffs.

A Spor claim Nottingham Forest will offer something in the region of €8m for the Senegalese striker, who’s unlikely to have a future at Galatasaray under Fatih Terim.

Nottingham Forest have been linked with the player in recent weeks as they look ahead to the next window.

Gala paid €13m for Diagne when they signed him from Kasimpasa in 2019, but the player was loaned out to Club Brugge after the Istanbul side brought in Radamel Falcao last summer.

Diagne, who was the top scorer in Turkish Super Lig last season with 30 goals, has made just nine appearances for Club Brugge this season, scoring four goals.

His contract with Galatasaray will expire at the end of June 2023.
