Turkish club Rizespor have officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Armand Traore from Nottingham Forest on a two year deal.

Rizespor said they have an option to extend it further and the former Arsenal left back has put pen to paper and is set to continue his career in Turkish football rather than trying for another side in the UK

We covered earlier claims from Turkey that Traore was a target for fellow Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor but newly promoted Rizespor managed to get the deal done.

It’s not an obvious Turkish move for a player from English football and Traore will hope he can have more luck at Rizespor than he managed at Nottingham Forest.

The first aim will surely be to keep his new side in Turkey’s premier league competition.

Traore will now join his new team’s training camp at Slovenia.

The deal is done, as far as Rizespor are concerned, with Traore pictured in the club’s shirt.
