Not tired of adding Brazilians to their squad in the January transfer window, Nottingham Forest reportedly made an offer for another player from the South American country.

According to Diário do Peixe, the Reds are attempting to sign Santos starlet Angelo.

It’s claimed that Nottingham Forest had already offered €15m for the winger, and that was turned down by president Andrés Rueda. Now they’re back with a €18m bid.

The outlet does not say if that will be enough to sign the 18-year-old, who’s the youngest player to ever score a goal in the Copa Libertadores.

Angelo made his debut for Santos at the age of 15, having always shown huge potential for the club. However, with the Peixe having a tough time in the past couple of years, he was never given the right conditions to stand out as many people would have imagined. That’s why his departure may not be a bad idea for the player and club.

In the past few months, Angelo was also linked to other European sides, with Newcastle repeatedly said to be interested in his signing.

Santos are also going through a difficult financial time, and even if that bid is not enough to sign Angelo now, it shouldn’t take a lot more to convince the club of selling.
