Nino’s transfer from Fluminense to Nottingham Forest has now stalled, according to reports from Brazil.

TNT Sports comes up saying that with other clubs looking for the defender after the Copa Libertadores final, the talks with the Tricky Trees have been affected.

There’s nothing about the negotiations with Nottingham Forest collapsing, though. It’s just said the move is ‘no longer so certain’ compared to what it once was.

It’s claimed that Nino is currently drawing interest from clubs from England, Russia and Spain.

Reports in the Brazilian media this week had been claiming that the talks between Fluminense and Nottingham Forest were well advanced, with the Reds ready to pay €7m on his signing.

It was also reported, however, that several European clubs had scouts at the Maracanã Stadium watching the Copa Libertadores final, where the centre-back captained the Rio de Janeiro side for their first continental title.

Now it remains to be seen whether those other clubs will come stronger for his signing. Just yesterday, we had a special story telling why Nottingham Forest could be doing a good investment on his transfer.
