Corinthians’ Murillo is in line to join Nottingham Forest, according to multiple claims from Brazil.

On Thursday, journalist Jorge Nicola stated the 21-year-old has a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Tricky Trees.

Nicola has provided additional updates on Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of the defender in his blog for R7 Esporte.

He says the centre-back has ‘already accepted’ an offer from the Premier League side and the latter are trying to agree a deal with Corinthians to seal the transfer.

Nicola states Nottingham Forest have offered €13m plus €3m in bonuses and those involved in the negotiations are optimistic of a ‘positive outcome’.

The journalist’s claim is backed up by TNT Sports Brasil, who then provide more details of this operation.

It’s claimed Steve Cooper’s side are in a ‘hurry’ to close the deal for the Brazilian and the transfer could go through in the next few days.

Torino have also shown interest in Murillo but the website states they are currently behind the English club in the transfer race. On Thursday, TuttoMercatoWeb reported Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Fiorentina are also in the picture to sign the player.

They are all set for disappointment as Nottingham Forest are expected to win the battle.
