Manchester United allowed Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez to make a switch to Inter Milan in the summer and decided against replacing them.

The Red Devils have not scored more than one goal in a match since their 4-0 win over Chelsea on the opening day in August. Their poor form has seen them being linked with attacking players for the January window.

According to the Independent, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are keen on Juventus’ Mario Mandžukić and Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé.

Journalist Miguel Rico has picked up these claims and it’s covered on the back page of today’s Mundo Deportivo. To start with, he says ‘Dembélé-United: Nothing at all.’

Rico adds the La Liga winners have not been contacted by the Old Trafford club for their forward.

He further goes on to state that there is no evidence of any interest from Manchester United in Dembélé. In addition to this, the player is non-transferable for Barca.

Whilst that may be the situation right now, things can obviously change ahead of the winter market.
