On November 11th, Tutto Juve stated Newcastle United are obsessed about Juventus star Federico Chiesa and want to sign him at all costs.
The Italy international has four goals and an assist this season and has extended his good run with the national team, by scoring a brace in Azzurri’s win over North Macedonia.
Sport Mediaset state Newcastle are one of the Premier League sides keeping tabs on the 27-year-old.
This would see the Serie A side forced to act, to tie him down to a new contract. His deal runs down in 2025 and without a renewal, the report states the Old Lady risk losing him for a ‘discounted price’ next summer.
Towards the end of October, Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli met Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani in Milan. It’s claimed the player currently earns €5m per year and has no intention to lower it.
The forward has interest from the Premier League and his salary ‘can rise’ if he were to move to England.
Eddie Howe’s side are mentioned and Sport Mediaset explain it’s ‘worth underlining’ about Newcastle, who are ‘at the window’ to sign him. Apart from the Tyneside club, Tottenham and Chelsea are also in the picture.
Due to the interest from these clubs, the website states Juventus are facing a race against time in their efforts to tie down Chiesa to a deal beyond 2025.
