AC Milan signed Divock Origi as a free-agent in the summer, after the Belgium international’s contract at Anfield expired. He’d been used as a squad player under Jurgen Klopp, but still managed to be part of some moments of magic in Liverpool’s recent history.

The 27-year-old is picking up minutes here and there with the Rossoneri and got his first goal and assist in a 4-1 victory over Monza at the weekend.

MilanLive are now reporting on another player the Serie A club could take from Liverpool on a free transfer, and it’s stated Newcastle United and West Ham would be competition.

The player in question is Naby Keita, whose contract with the Reds expires next June.

As well as Newcastle and West Ham, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund are pushed forward as a potential destination.

Keita is yet to make an appearance for Liverpool since getting five minutes against Manchester City in the Community Shield. Any clubs interested, even on a free transfer basis, would surely want assurances over fitness or a deal weighted towards appearances.

The 27-year-old has had repeat injury absences since joining Liverpool, and that’s something Newcastle, West Ham, Milan and Dortmund would have to consider.
