Newcastle United star Joelinton may have been handed a big hint he’s set to start for Brazil this week, with the latest training session for the Selecao seeing him in the starting 11.

That’s according to UOL and Ge Globo, who cover the latest round of training and the Newcastle player’s position in it.

UOL explain that Brazil took their second training session, for the friendly against Guinea on Saturday, today in Barcelona.

The exercise included 21 players from the squad and a ‘sketch’ of the starting line up from interim coach Ramon Menezes.

He divided the squad for the practice and Joelinton was one of those were in the group designated as the ‘starting lineup’.

GE back all of this up, stating that the Newcastle man was the ‘main novelty’ of the latest training session and was in that provisional starting line-up group.

He ‘worked among the starters’ today, alongside the likes of Alisson, Éder Militão, Casemiro and other Brazilian stars. He was also left in place despite Menezes interrupting the activity to change his team on more than one occasion.

That hints that the Newcastle man is set to earn his first start in the famous yellow jersey and complete another milestone after his tears at being called up at the end of last month.
