As you’ll be firmly aware by now, Andreas Pereira’s loan to Lazio hasn’t quite worked out the way everyone thought it would.

Sent to Italy in order to get the minutes he wouldn’t be handed at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Brazil international had high hopes about the move.

Unfortunately, as time went by, it became rather apparent that Pereira didn’t really fit anywhere in Simone Inzaghi’s plans despite his versatility, and time on the pitch has become hard to come by.

Add in the factor that Lazio would have to pay €27m to make the move permanent, and you have the ideal recipe for him returning to Manchester United.

One thing could go in his favour, however, and that’s if Inzaghi leaves at the end of the season, with the manager being linked to clubs such as Juventus to take over from Andrea Pirlo.

Corriere dello Sport explain a ‘new manager’ and ‘different conditions’ when it comes to the purchase fee would be the only way Pereira remains in Rome next season.

One to keep an eye on, but it still seems highly unlikely.
