Since Antonio Conte took charge of Tottenham Hotspur in November 2021, we saw him linked to a comeback to Serie A a few times.

It turns out there’s apparently a new club interested in having him as a boss now. That’s AS Roma.

Following Fernando Santos’ exit from Portugal’s national team, many reports have been claiming that Giallorossi boss José Mourinho is a serious candidate for the job.

Roma are said to be working to keep him, but according to an exclusive report from Romagiallorossa.it, the Tottenham coach shows up as an alternative.

It’s claimed the Serie A side are ‘seriously thinking’ about Antonio Conte, as his contract with Spurs expires at the end of the season and he’s still to agree to a new deal.

The outlet even recalls an interview from 2019 where Conte speaks about having a big affection for Roma, taking it as a sign that they could attract him to the club.

José Mourinho accepted the job at Roma after leaving Tottenham, and it’s believed Antonio Conte could take the same path, even though that’s considered to be just a ‘suggestion and nothing more’ for now.

The outlet also contacted people close to the Spurs boss who claimed they ‘know nothing at the moment’.
