Paul Pogba Marca July 20thSpanish newspaper Marca have an article in their Wednesday edition, which basically explains how they’ve allowed Paul Pogba to get to the verge of signing for Manchester United.

Jose Felix Diaz says the Spanish club have ruled out the signing on purely sporting matters, explaining there had been interest but that was killed by Euro 2016.

Marca explain that Real Madrid could have afforded the high prices, and competed with Manchester United, but simply decided they didn’t want to.

The Spanish newspaper say that Euro 2016 allowed them to pinpoint another player, and they chose Valencia’s Andre Gomes instead.

Real Madrid are said to admire Pogba, and his desire to play for them, and Marca say the Frenchman has taken their decision not to sign him well.

A week ago today the same newspaper said Pogba had chosen Manchester United, and only saw Real Madrid as an alternative.

It seems Marca have forgotten their previous article and just want to let the world know that Pogba is only going to Manchester Untied because they’re allowing it. They could have afforded him, but they just didn’t fancy him that much.

Why all the fuss then?
