Even though Manchester United seemed to have a clear chase for Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard, we’ve recently seen Inter Milan strongly joining the race.

Just today, German outlet Bild claimed the Nerazzurri offered €25m for the transfer, but the Bundesliga giants want between €35m and €40m to accept the sale.

The latest reports from Italy put Inter’s updated offer at €35m.

A new update on this battle now comes from French journalist Ignazio Genuardi.

On Twitter, he claims that Manchester United are offering Pavard more money than Inter Milan. The problem is that the player already has an agreement with the Nerazzurri.

It’s said the player accepted a four-year deal with the Serie A side, where he’d make around €4m per season, after tax and excluding bonuses.

Inter Milan, however, are still to find an agreement with Bayern Munich, so there’s a long way for the deal to get done.

That certainly opens a possibility for Manchester United, who seem to watch the moves as they wait to place their bid.

Since the German media had claimed that Pavard ‘wants to go’ to the Red Devils, they may have an advantage here.
