The Portuguese newspapers were quiet on Bruno Fernandes on Friday, but it turns out that the Italian media has something to say.

Website Calcio Mercato reports Milan’s interest in the player, saying the Rossoneri are set to join the likes of Juventus, PSG and Manchester United in the race.

What the outlet also claims is that Sporting are looking forward to increase the player’s price before the summer window comes.

The Lions’ intention would be to give the player a new contract, making his release clause go from €100m to €150m. Talks with his entourage are said to be ongoing.

Calcio Mercato doesn’t bring any information on who’s leading the race for now, although the Portuguese press has been insisting that Manchester United are one step ahead of the others.

Now if Sporting really want a bigger release clause, that’s because they are planning to make some huge demands for Fernandes in the summer. Manchester United may need to hurry.
