The Catalan media continue to hype a potential transfer for Ansu Fati this summer, and Manchester United continue to be named as a potential destination.

Ansu hasn’t been getting the game time he’ll have wanted this season, and isn’t happy with his lack of prominence under Xavi Hernandez.

He’s played 24 La Liga matches during the current campaign, scoring three goals and adding three assists. Whilst that would appear to be a good number of games, his minutes have only amounted to 925, with the 20-year-old picking up further matches in the cup competitions.

The youngster’s family, and agent Jorge Mendes, have become frustrated, and Ansu’s father complained to the media this week, which has only encouraged claims of an exit.

Manchester United have been linked for quite some time, but whilst it was once thought the player was worth more than €100m, with some claims the Red Devils had even offered than much, he’s now thought to be available for less than half.

Sport report Mendes is getting to work, and Manchester United are ‘first on the list’. The Catalan newspaper believe Ansu would work very well with Marcus Rashford, and they state he’d be the ‘icing on the cake’ for Erik ten Hag’s side.

As it stands, this all feels like a quarrel between Ansu’s camp and Barcelona, with Manchester United being dragged in for drama. That said, it would be no surprise if Mendes is trying to build a deal.
