Randal Kolo Muani finished his debut season at Eintracht Frankfurt with 23 goals and 17 assists and this resulted in interest from Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and a few other clubs.

Last month, Bild reported Erik ten Hag had identified the 24-year-old as one of the striker targets for the Red Devils.

Manchester United took steps to try and secure the player’s services if journalist Loïc Tanzi is to be believed.

PSG are now keen on bringing the France international to Paris and when explaining their plans to sign him, Tanzi mentions the Premier League side’s offer.

He claims Manchester United tabled a bid of €70m plus bonuses earlier in the window and it was ‘turned down’ by the Bundesliga side. The Old Trafford club have already invested a similar figure in signing Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta earlier this month.

PSG have seen their initial offer for Kolo Muani get rejected by the German club and are now considering how to formulate their improved bid.

L’Equipe state the first bid from Luis Enrique’s side was €60m plus €10m bonuses. They add the French club will table an improved proposal on Monday morning.

PSG will not let go of the frontman and hope to finalise his transfer this week.
