Just last week, reports that Manchester City were targeting Jorginho emerged, originating from Goal in the UK, and that has travelled to Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport are the ones with the news on Thursday, as the Italian newspaper look at what could happen to some of Napoli’s key players, including the midfielder.

According to them, Manchester City’s interest in Jorginho is strong, very strong, and that could mean the Serie A side getting a large chunk of money in the summer.

Napoli are ready to wait until the right moment to green light a sale, hoping to get more than the €45-50m Pep Guardiola is said to be ready to spend on the 26-year-old.

The defensive midfielder has had a great season with Napoli, playing a key role in Maurizio Sarri’s side’s run to challenge Juventus at the top of the table.

With Chelsea keen on the manager as well as Kalidou Koulibaly, it seems we could end up with a small exodus in Naples this summer, and Jorginho, if the price is right, could very well be a part of it.
