For the past couple of weeks, Internacional starlet Yuri Alberto was linked to a Premier League move, with a special mention to the interest from Manchester City.

A few reports from Brazil claimed that even the player’s agent had confirmed the chase from Pep Guardiola’s side, even though there have been no official offers so far.

Yuri Alberto has been in great form at the Brazilian side, and he gave Globo Esporte a long interview about his time at the club. And when speaking of his future, it was inevitable to talk about the recent rumours.

Globo Esporte first directly asked the player if he knows something about the interest from Manchester City, and the striker tried not to speak about it too much.

“I don’t know anything. I’m out of the loop. I’m focusing on Internacional and on having a good end to the season,” Yuri Alberto told Globo Esporte.

Then, when quizzed again about the attention he’s been getting from European sides, Yuri Alberto admitted that he has a dream to be playing in the Champions League sooner rather than later.

“Every player dreams of one day playing in Europe, in a big league. Inter are a giant club, but playing the Champions League is a dream. I want to keep giving my all, working hard, without going over anyone. I think everything has the right time. I’m very happy at Internacional. I loved this club, the way the fans welcomed me. Everything has been wonderful, but I do dream of going to Europe.”

Recent reports have been claiming that Inter will demand €16-18m to let Yuri Alberto go.
