Manchester City loanee Diego Rosa is taking his final steps before switching clubs.

As today reported by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, the midfielder is set to leave Vizela to go back to Brazil and sign for Bahia.

The outlet points out this is a move made by the Manchester City owners, who recently bought the Brazilian side and are sending them many reinforcements.

According to O Jogo, Rosa isn’t even training with Vizela’s squad anymore, as he’s currently sorting the final details of his move to South America.

Since the Brazilian transfer window only opens on the 12th of January, that’s when he’s officially joining Bahia on a loan deal which should last at least one year.

Manchester City spent €6m to sign Diego Rosa from Grêmio in February 2021.

Back then, they immediately sent him on loan to Belgium side Lommel, where he stayed until the last summer.

This year, he was loaned to Vizela, and there he only managed to make 11 appearances, most of them as a substitute, and that’s one more reason why the City Group chose to move him in January.
