Manchester City are one of the Premier League sides to provide Real Madrid competition to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

That’s according to AS, who have a report detailing the La Liga winners’ interest in securing the midfielder’s services.

It’s also stated Los Blancos are aware that clubs in England, ‘Manchester City mainly’, are keen to add the 19-year-old to their squad.

The England international starred for his country in their 6-2 win over Iran at the World Cup. His fine displays for the Three Lions and BVB have attracted interest from the Citizens, Real Madrid and other clubs.

AS state the teenager will sit down with the Bundesliga side after the FIFA tournament in Qatar to discuss his future.

Another Spanish newspaper, Marca, explain the former Birmingham City player’s display against Iran confirms his level.

Real Madrid are said to see him as the missing piece to complete the transition of their midfield.

The European champions will face competition from Liverpool and the Etihad club to sign Bellingham. It’s said the latter ‘want to join the fight’ to bring the player to the Etihad.

Bellingham became a good friend of City striker Erling Haaland when the latter was at Signal Iduan Park.  The English champions want to take advantage of this in order to ‘establish a position of strength’ to sign the midfielder.

Dortmund, for their part, seem ‘resigned to losing’ their star next summer.

According to Marca, the big question would be Bellingham’s price tag since he has no release clause in his contract.  In any case, it’s thought the figure will not drop below €100m.
