Manchester City are in the race to sign Genoa youngster Peter Pellegri, according to claims in the Italian media. The 15-year old understandably hasn’t made his debut for the Serie A side, but is being tracked by other Italian sides, along with Manchester City.

TMW have today reported Manchester City are preparing an offer to sign Pellegri, but will face competition to sign the young forward. Due to his age Pellegri has yet to sign a professional contract with Genoa, and the Premier League side could look to take advantage.

It’s also been claimed Serie A sides Inter Milan and Juventus are monitoring the situation with Pellegri, but Genoa will be doing all they can to keep one of the their most promising youngsters at the club. Current Genoa boss Ivan Juric is impressed with Pellegri, and wants the Italian club to keep him away from the likes of Manchester City.

Pellegri has played for Genoa’s U17 side, and this season has also been involved with the U19s. The attacker is also a U17 Italy international after making his debut in August.
