The agent of Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer has spoken to Fanatik about the potential transfer of his client in the new year. Kjaer is the subject of Chelsea interest, and a possible move to the Premier League is one of the favourite topics in the Turkish media at the moment.

Kjaer is also drawing attention from Italian giants Inter Milan and AC Milan. Previous reports in the Turkish press claim the three clubs will fight it out for the Fenerbahçe star during the January transfer window. Chelsea could look to bolster in defence in the next month, with reports Kjaer is an option for Antonio Conte.

However, his agent Mikkel Beck has cooled these rumours of a possible move to Chelsea: ”He’s a brilliant player for sure. He’s playing with big determination for his team since he signed for Fenerbahçe. I can confirm there were no offers on the table so far. None from Italy and nothing from England either.”

Under contact with Fenerbahçe until June 2019, Kjaer is one of the standout players in the current Fenerbahçe team. Kjaer signed for the Turkish giants from Lille for a fee around €7.75 million and he’s also had spells at Wolfsburg, Palermo and Roma.
