Everyone knows that Chelsea are currently on some sort of youth intake spree, and it doesn’t seem to be close to ending if the latest reports from Spain are to be believed.

That’s because Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Blues and Manchester City are both interested in a young Brazilian midfielder named Guilherme Ruck, who is only 14 years of age.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the player, who is currently contracted to Real Valladolid in Spain, and for whom Chelsea and Manchester City will be fighting a lot of competition.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are also in the mix, as are ‘half of Europe’, according to the newspaper, with the latter of the two Spanish giants keeping informed on everything that is happening around the youngster.

Right now, there has been no movement for him, and while Ruck’s entourage are aware of Barcelona’s interest, there is no meeting set up with them.

The ‘pearl’, as he’s described, is obviously flattered that such big clubs are after him, and it’s explicitly stated that he will not be staying at Valladolid much longer, and will be able to free himself in June in exchange for an ‘affordable financial compensation’.

How much isn’t stated, but we all know Chelsea and Manchester City are prepared to pay when it comes to these kind of deals, meaning they now just need to see off Barcelona and Real Madrid to win this race, which is no mean feat when it comes to a young Brazilian.
