Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has his contract expiring at the end of this season and it is not clear where his long-term future lies.

The duration left on his deal with the Premier League side has attracted attention from clubs in England and across Europe. AS Roma are among them.

That’s what La Repubblica are reporting, and they add the 30-year-old is included in José Mourinho’s target list.

The ex-Chelsea manager had asked the Giallorossi leaders to sign the Eagles forward in the last window. The Ivory Coast international continues to be an object of desire of the Roma boss and he ‘wants’ the player at the Stadio Olimpico.

Zaha’s desire is to continue in England, but the report explains a call from the Giallorossi could ‘change the scenario’.

The player earns €5.5m per year at Selhurst Park, with figures in Italy often given when tax has been deducted. His salary is a ‘knot’ that the Italian club resolve. They will study the feasibility of the operation in the next few weeks.

Mourinho hopes to convince Roma to invest in strengthening his side’s attacking division. The Crystal Palace player is in the target list and La Repubblica reports the Portuguese tactician would ‘focus strongly’ on signing him next summer.

Zaha continues to impress for Crystal Palace and has managed six goals and two assists from 12 league games this season.
