Earlier today, we covered an article in Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that Manchester United were poised to make a move for Sofyan Amrabat.

The Red Devils were said to potentially make their first bid in the coming days, which is a feeling shared by Corriere Fiorentino.

The local newspaper have a big article about the Morocco international’s situation, and mention Manchester United as well.

As things stand, no one has come forward with the €30m that Rocco Commisso, the club’s owner, requires to let him go, as that is the ‘minimum’ he will accept for the midfielder.

However, Corriere Fiorentino state ‘something is moving’ down Manchester United’s end, and the feeling in Fiorentina’s offices is that the Premier League side will be able to launch the ‘decisive thrust over the weekend’.

Vincenzo Italiano has made it clear that he will have a chat with Amrabat once he is back, but those are seen as ‘diplomatic words’, because the manager ‘hopes that United and Fiorentina will find an agreement’ by Sunday.

This is because he doesn’t want a player who isn’t fully involved in the project around his squad, especially if they cannot imagine themselves in the club’s shirt next season.

Therefore, everyone is waiting for Manchester United to move.
