Likely to need a number of reinforcements in the summer to try and get them back up among the title contenders, Manchester United could be busy once the season ends.
However, some opportunity are already presenting themselves, such as the possibility of signing players on free transfers, like Marcelo Brozović.
The Croatia international is out of contract in the summer, but there has been a lot of talk about him actually renewing with Inter, which is echoed by La Repubblica.
The newspaper report, via FC Inter 1908, that an agreement was on offer back in December, but Barcelona came forward with an contract of their own worth €8m/season, which ‘made the Croatian reflect’.
The Red Devils could easily match the €8m wages on offer from Barcelona, and likely even improve on them, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Until a renewal is signed, Brozović remains fair game for most big clubs in Europe, and it will be interesting to see if Ralf Rangnick, who clearly wants to have some say over what happens at Old Trafford going forward, approves of this, or if he decides the future manager would be better off with someone else.
