On Tuesday, we covered a story in the Italian media regarding the potential future of Diogo Dalot at Milan, claiming that Sevilla were also taking a look at him.

Currently on loan with the Serie A side from Manchester United, the Portuguese full-back has only been used sporadically by Stefano Pioli, featuring mostly in the Europa League.

Mostly there to plug up the gap or rest players, Dalot might be getting more minutes than he would have at Old Trafford, but is it really enough to warrant the Serie A side spending upwards of €15m on him in the summer?

Milan Live, looking at the situation, don’t think so.

They state the Manchester United loanee ‘hasn’t fully convinced’ and since there is no current agreement over a future fee to make the move permanent, ‘it might not be there’ down the line, either.

With Milan looking at other options, like that of Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj, whose contract runs out in the summer, ‘a goodbye from the Portuguese would help with the arrival of a new full-back’.

There’s still time for Dalot to turn things around, and with Monchi lurking in Sevilla, he might get a permanent move away from Manchester either way, but it’s looking less and less likely that San Siro will be his home beyond the current campaign.
