After a couple of years of ups and downs at Manchester United, fullback Diogo Dalot is finally managing to have some regular playing time during his loan at AC Milan.

With 16 appearances for the Rossoneri so far, he was able to start in all of their games in the Europa League, and has lately been getting more chances in the Serie A.

That’s why Dalot shows his satisfaction in an interview with Associated Press today. The 21-year-old claims to be enjoying his time in Milan, and doesn’t seem to think a lot about his future.

Quizzed regarding what will be of him at the end of the season, Dalot tried to dodge the question by only claiming things are going fine for now.

“Now I’m completely focused on what’s going on here. When I go home and I can rest, I can watch Manchester or Porto matches and be happy for them, because they are winning and doing very well.”

Diogo Dalot also spoke about the praises from José Mourinho, who claimed he was one of the most talented young fullbacks in Europe.

“It was one of the sentences that I keep with me until this day. Coming from him was even more special because we all know that’s a fantastic coach, one of the best ever, and it gave me a little bit more responsibility.”

The Italian media has been claiming that Milan wish to keep Dalot’s transfer permanent, but only in case Manchester United let him go for a fair price. Now the more he succeeds for the Rossoneri, bigger the chances are of his signing.
