Argentine defender Marcos Rojo has regained his place in Manchester United’s starting line-up under Jose Mourinho, after an injury to Eric Bailly.

Rojo has formed a commendable partnership at the back with Phil Jones, and Mourinho is expected to continue playing the duo. However, according to Spanish newspaper AS, Valencia are keen on the services of the 26-year-old.

It’s reported Valencia decided to shortlist the Manchester United defender a couple of weeks ago, as they want to sign him in January, but it won’t be that simple for them.

AS say things could change if Manchester United decide to sign another defender in January, but it would still be difficult for Valencia to sign him.

This isn’t the first time Valencia have expressed interest in signing Rojo, as there were also rumours in the summer, but AS claim the Spanish side are also looking at other options.
