Arsenal’s Wojciech Szczesny is currently spending his second season on loan at AS Roma, as the Serie A side are in contention to win the league.

The Polish goalkeeper was shipped to Italy by Arsene Wenger, who has Petr Cech and David Ospina to call upon, and there is an uncertainty over his long term future at the Emirates.

At the moment it looks bleak, if you consider the fact that he has just another 18 months left on his contract at the North London club.

However, Szczesny’s future might not be between Arsenal and AS Roma, as a third club is reportedly keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old. Rai Sport journalist Ciro Venerato (via I am Naples) claims Napoli are following Szczesny, and they could consider signing him in the future.

Napoli, who are just four points off AS Roma in Serie A standings, have former Liverpool star Pepe Reina as their first choice goalkeeper, and the Spaniard has been doing reasonably well for them.

Reina has another 18 months left on his contract at Napoli, and at 34 has some football left in him. Arsenal’s Szczesny has done reasonably well in Italy, but probably not well enough to have the biggest clubs there fighting over him.
