It’s not too unreasonable for Manchester United fans to feel their club should have done more business by now. That doesn’t mean it’s the time for tantrums, yet things seem to be dragging on with a couple of potential deals.

Saturday’s edition of A Bola takes a look at the Bruno Fernandes situation, and not for the first time, a Portuguese newspaper states Manchester United want to complete the signing of Harry Maguire before moving on to the Sporting midfielder.

A Bola say they’ve found that out from their own sources, and go on to say Maguire could be completed ‘at any moment’… it’s not clear if the second part of the claim is an assumption or from the same information.

Miguel Pinho, Bruno’s much travelled agent, is due in Lisbon to speak Sporting again about the potential move to Old Trafford. There’s been unofficial chat about offers, but nothing official yet.

Ed Woodward is the ‘strongman’ at Manchester United dealing with things, and A Bola say he’s been told by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to ‘secure’ Bruno’s signing.

Solskjaer is said to see the Sporting player as ‘far more urgent’ than Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. A Bola go on to say Manchester United view Bruno as more of a No.10 and SMS as a No.8.
