Leeds United Crysencio Summerville has insisted his controversial past is behind him, and it’s all ‘positive vibes’ these days.

Summerville arrived at Leeds from Feyenoord’s U19 side in September last year and was promoted to their first-team squad this summer.

Before that, he had spent the entirety of his career in the Netherlands, first starting with Feyenoord’s youth side before moving up the ranks to their Under 19s.

He also enjoyed loan spells with the like of FC Dordrecht and ADO Den Haag, although it was him time Feyenoord where he earned the most attention.

Not all of that was positive, though, with the forward finding himself in ‘disrepute’ and labelled ‘difficult’ courtesy of an incident in Feyenoord’s youth setup.

During his time there, he allegedly had an ‘altercation’ with former teammate Mats Knoester, after which he sent his brother after the defender.

His brother later struck Knoester as a result of the incident.

That left Summerville with something of a reputation, but he insists that is all behind him now he’s at Leeds.

“Everyone is young sometimes,” the Elland Road starlet told ESPN about his past.

“You make mistakes in life, but I’m just on positive vibes now. I’ve kind of put the past behind me.

“Some nasty things happened, but we move on. Yes, that’s also growing up.”
