It’s fair to say that Sunday’s 7-0 loss to Liverpool was not a good moment for any current Manchester United player, but Alejandro Garnacho appears to have come off quite badly in the aftermath.

The youngster has been a revelation this season, establishing himself as a huge prospect for the future with a series of impressive performances and important goals to his name.

While he’s been shining on the pitch, his behaviour off of it has led to some raised eyebrows and plenty of criticism.

For example, his decision to post “the big team went through” after Manchester United knocked out Barcelona in the Europa League was met with derision in Spain and plenty of criticism.

That saw the youngster labelled ‘rude’ and ‘not very humble’ by former Boca Juniors and River Plate player Carlos Morete, who was one of many left less than impressed by the Manchester United youngster.

He’s not the only one who believes Garnacho needs to buck up his ideas, with Néstor Gorosito echoing those thoughts and detailing how he’d solve it in a discussion regarding Garnacho’s call up to the Argentine national team.

“You always have to give priority to the group, that’s the most important thing,” he told TyC Sports.

“The rules are clear and everyone has to follow them, from the youngest player to the oldest, and the coaching staff.

“Look for respect, try to bring him to your side, so that he doesn’t do crazy things, I don’t know players who don’t adapt, not through a stick but by convincing him, showing him what’s good and what’s bad.

“He (Garnacho) is going to make mistakes because he’s 20 years old and that’s when he has to do it, it’s part of life.

“We have to understand that it’s a different generation to ours and that kids who talk rubbish on the internet have 70 million followers, they don’t pay anywhere, they have German cars, for talking rubbish, it’s another generation and I think it’s rubbish.

“If it’s one of my children, I’d hit him with an open hand on the back of the head, but that’s how it is.
