Liverpool completed the signing of Colombian teenager Anderson Arroyo from Bogota-based outfit Fortaleza CEIF earlier in February. The Reds immediately loaned him to Mallorca where he was expected to spend 18 months with the Segunda División outfit.

However, Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws claims the Merseyside club will allow their right-back to join Gent on a loan deal. The De Buffalo’s were ‘very secretive’ regarding their efforts in signing a young player.

It’s now claimed the player is the South American defender who has already arrived at the club. HLN mentions the Jupiler Pro League outfit’s manager, Yves Vanderhaeghe has already welcomed the youngster.

When the Reds signed Arroyo, they sent him on loan to the Spanish club for an original 18 months, but after spending the second half of the last season with them, he is now heading to Gent and the report does not give any indication as to why his temporary move to Mallorca was cut short.
