The same outlet who started the rumours linking Andrew Robertson to Real Madrid is now practically killing them.

Earlier this week, website Defensa Central said the Galacticos wanted the Liverpool left-back to replace Marcelo once the Brazilian leaves the club.

There had been no claims about an approach, since it was only said that Robertson was very well seen at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But today, Defensa Central brings an update on the situation, and isn’t very optimistic about the chances of signing the Scottish player.

They write that Liverpool are not interested in selling Robertson ‘under any circumstances’. The club have it clear that the 25-year-old is ‘one of the best in the world in his position’, and that’s why there’s no intention of letting him go, according to the website’s sources.

Defensa Central aren’t usually the best source for transfer stories, but since they’ve both started and finished this rumour in the past few days, we better cover them directly before they are spread through the European media.
