It’s been a while since we’ve dealt with an Emre Can update, but there’s been a small one in Italy on Monday, and it comes from a new radio station called RMC Sport (not to be confused with the French one of the same name).

Beppe Marotta, Juventus’ general director, is the one providing us with the news, explaining the Serie A side are still working hard on getting a deal done for the Liverpool midfielder.

He said, relayed by Gazzetta dello Sport: “Our contacts are well under way, but the negotiation is not complete.”

The Italian newspaper then go onto to explain that Emre Can has allegedly said yes to what Juventus have offered, but he is yet to put pen to paper on the deal that would see him transfer to Italy in the summer.

The Germany international doesn’t appear to be too keen on prolonging his Liverpool adventure beyond this season, and a move to Turin has been widely touted as the next step in his career.

Manchester City are thrown into the mix once again as potential competition for his signature, but even that seems half-hearted, at best.
