Liverpool ‘lined up’ for defender signing, ready to hold talks – Player has ‘guarantee of being sold’

Gleison Bremer’s decision to snub Fulham last summer has allowed him to excel at Torino this season and, in the process, attracted attention from top clubs across Europe.

From England, after Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, Liverpool are now added to the defender’s suitors list.

A week ago, Tuttosport reported the Reds are leading the chase to sign the centre-back, who has started learning English.

However, Liverpool are not the only one looking at the Brazilian and TuttoMercatoWeb stated on Tuesday they will have to battle with other sides for his signature in the summer.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport explains big clubs have ‘all lined up’ for the centre-back and this includes Jürgen Klopp’s side.

It’s said the Serie A side have allowed Bremer to become ‘important’. He thanked them by extending the contract last month, but in exchange, the player ‘obtained the guarantee of being sold’ after this season.

His sale should help the Italian club collect a nice sum, which they will then reinvest to rebuild the squad.

Torino will be hoping for an auction and choose the ‘most profitable proposal, which, in that case, will have the right to the last word’. The report adds an offer of ‘at least €25m’ will be sufficient.

Liverpool are in the picture and are joined by Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli.

Tuttosport state the Premier League trio are ‘ready to open’ talks and have ‘large budgets’ when compared with Italian clubs, to carry out Bremer’s signing.
