After sealing a 2-0 win over Inter Milan last week, Liverpool will make it to the Champions League quarterfinals, if they avoid defeat in the return leg at Anfield.

The Reds managed only two shots on target at the San Siro, while the hosts failed to hit the target even once.

Marcelo Brozović and Arturo Vidal started in the middle of the pitch for the Nerazzurri. The former’s contract expires at the end of the season and as hasn’t signed a new deal with the Serie A winners so far.

According to, the Croatia international ‘does not want to renew his contract’ just yet, and if there is no change in his situation in the coming months, he will leave Inter as a free agent in the summer.

It’s claimed Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in him as Klopp is a ‘fan of the player’. The midfielder turned 29 last November and his age could be an issue.

Although the Merseyside club don’t tend to sign players who are in their 30s or are towards 30, they could consider breaking their transfer strategy for Brozović, since he will be available on a free transfer in the summer.

The report further adds his signing for Liverpool will not only add depth to their squad, but help Klopp tactically as well. There’s an effort from Fichajes to explain just how tactically useful the player could be, making various systems available.

It remains to be seen whether the media in Italy and/or England will discuss Liverpool having an interest in Brozović.
