On Monday, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported Tottenham Hotspur have started talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani. He also stated it would cost Spurs around €80m to secure his services.

The north London club’s interest in the 24-year-old is down to the fact that they could see Harry Kane move elsewhere.

Bild have relayed this and then give their own take on the possibility of Tottenham signing Kolo Muani.

Bayern Munich have been pushed forward as Kane’s main contender and if he were to join them or another club, Spurs would have to bring in a replacement for him.

This is where the France international could fit in as the report states the Premier League side want to invest a maximum of €80m to sign him. Bild explain that this is ‘too little!’ as it’s €20m short of the fee demanded by the German club, which is €100m.

As it stands, Eintracht Frankfurt haven’t received any offers for the player but they would be happy to sell him late in the window, as long as their demands are met. Their sporting director, Markus Krösche, has also explained the reason for the same.

“It’s a difficult situation. Of course, there comes a point at which we have to decide whether we should still do it. But there are sums that you can’t say no to,” Krösche said, as quoted by Bild.
